Pros of SheMax HEPA filter:
Even if you are very careful with the SheMax HEPA filter, sooner or later the question of how and when it needs to be cleaned will arise.
Regular cleaning of the filter after each session will ensure a longer service life of the filter. It is advisable to replace the filter every 2/3 months or more often, depending on usage and quality degradation.
HOW TO REPLACE THE FILTER IN YOUR SHEMAX DUST CONTAINER
HEPA filters are fine filters.
The efficiency of fine filters is determined in laboratory tests by the percentage of retained microparticles. For such laboratory tests, an aerosol from a mixture of synthetic microparticles about 0.3 μm (0.1 to 0.5 microns) is used.
HEPA filters most effectively capture microparticles ranging in size from 0.1 μm to 1.0 μm. And larger particles have a negative effect on the characteristics of filters, as they constantly knock down already retained small particles from their places, which leads to a significant decrease in the percentage of filtration efficiency. Also, large particles quickly clog the pores and air channels formed by the HEPA microfibers of the SheMax filter. This results in an increase in the resistance of the airflow filter. Over time, a HEPA-clogged filter severely interferes with the passage of air through the dust collector, causing the suction power of the dust collector to drop sharply and the electric motor to overheat. Therefore, dust particles larger than those for which the HEPA filter is designed (more than 1.0 microns) should not fall on the HEPA filter.
